It’s one of the amazing parks in Uganda. Kibale Forest National Park is so attractive with a variety of tracts of tropical rain forest and several animals.
The park covers 795 Km2 of the rain forest, swamps, rivers, and a few areas of grassland. It is home to more than 1,450 chimpanzees protected inside the park and in total thirteen primate species.
Children have to be 15 years and above to be able to track the chimpanzees, if you have children below 15 years then try to make sure that they can engage in an educative forest walk
Detailed 3 Days Chimpanzee Trekking Safari Uganda
After an early morning breakfast at your hotel in Kampala, your driver guide will come to pick you for chimpanzee trekking safari in Kibale Forest National Park.
As you drive through the countryside, enjoy the remarkable landscapes, traditional homes and catch a glimpse of different striking bird’s species.
Engage your guide to give you a brief of the trip as you move. Ask him for clarification of any sightings that excites you.
You will have a stopover for lunch in Fort Portal town. Then later you will drive in to your lodge to check in at the crater lakes region. Relax wait for evening to have your dinner and overnight

After an early hasty breakfast, your driver will transfer you to the briefing office. He will then hand in your details and permits for registration and allocation of chimpanzee community to trek and your ranger guide will you on the trek in search of the great ape.
Watch the chimpanzees in their natural habitat, as they swing from the branches in the canopy high above the forest floor.
After this exciting experience with the apes, your ranger will hand you back to your guide who will drive you back you your lodge to relax, have lunch as you wait for the next activity in the afternoon.
In the afternoon, explore the Bigodi village. You have the opportunity to visit the swamp with abundant butterflies, plants, animals and spectacular bird species like Great Blue Turaco and will be of great interest to birds’ enthusiasts.
After this experience, you will take a village walk that will lead you to the coffee experience, huge coffee plantations, banana bear making, busked making and traditional healer
After this tiresome day, your driver will take you back to your lodge for dinner and rest

This is a national park in western Uganda, protecting moist evergreen rain forest. It is 766 square kilometers (296 sq mi.) in size and located between 1,100 meters (3,600 ft) to 1,600 meters (5,200 ft) in elevation.
Despite encompassing primary moist ever green forest, it contains a diverse array of landscapes to contain both lowland and montane forests. In eastern Africa, it sustains the last significant expanse of premontane forest
The park was gazetted in 1932 and formally established in 1993 to protect a large area of forest previously managed as a logged forest reserve.
The park forms a continuous forest with Queen Elizabeth National Park. This adjoining of the parks creates a 180 kilometers (110 mi) wildlife corridor.
It is important eco-tourism and Safari destination, popular for its population of habituated Chimpanzees and twelve other species of primates
